Arshad Saleem Bhatti received his PhD in Micro and Optoelectronics from University of Cambridge in 1995. Since 2005, he has been a full professor in Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad. Currently, he is the Dean of the Faculty of Science. He is a semiconductor physicist by training and recently working in synthesis and application of nanostructures for sensor applications. He has authored and co-authored 1 edited book, 74 journal papers, and 35 conference papers. His publications have been cited more than 600 times (H-index is 13). He is serving (or served) as investigator on projects that have attracted external funding in excess of $3.3M from Higher Education Commission (HEC), Ministry of Science & Technology, National Science Foundation, USA (as co-PI), Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), Trieste, Italy. He is also one of the review panels of Higher Education Commission, COMSTECH, MoST, a member of Technology Foresight Committee on Nanotechnology, Pakistan Council for Science & Technology (PCST), and ISESCO’s Expert on Nanosciecne and Nanotechnology.
