Seigi Mizuno is a vice dean of Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences, Kyushu University, Japan. He received his Bachelor Degree and MSc. from Tokyo Metropolitan University in 1988 and 1990. Then, he became a research associate of Hokkaido University. He received his PhD from Tokyo University in 1995. The title of his PhD thesis was Displacements of Substrate Atoms Induced by Alkali-Metal Deposition. He moved to Kyushu University as an associate professor in 1997. Finally, he became a professor at Department of Molecular and Material Sciences in 2011. His major research interest is structure determination of solid surfaces. He is an active researcher who has participated in various international conferences and published outstanding articles in a number of journals.
