ABSTRACT
Considerable attention has been given to developing carbon-based polymer
composites for applications where high electrical conductivity is
required such as for bipolar plates in fuel cells. This study focused on
the understanding of the composite electrical conductivity containing PP
(polypropylene) and LDPE (Low density polyethylene) as matrix and
graphite powder as conductive filler by using injection molding process.
The processing conditions have been optimized in an attempt to produce
compound material. The PP/G composites was found to have relatively high
electrical conductivity compared to LDPE/G at the same wt % of graphite.
