The knowledge related to the Quran and Sunnah is a vast field encompassing exegesis, hadith, faith and education. Facing various post-Covid-19 educational challenges such as online teaching and assessment, we are exposed to new changes, specialization in Quranic studies, understanding of hadith texts and at the same time have to deal with post-pandemic educational issues that have impacts on the physical and mental health as well as the well-being of the Muslim community. These challenges need to be addressed with guidance from the Quran and Sunnah, which are the heritage of knowledge for the Muslim community.
Thus, the Centre for Quran and Sunnah Studies, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, together with the Persatuan Intelektual Muslim Malaysia is organizing the 5th International Seminar on Revelation and Heritage Studies (SIWAT-5) with the theme “Transformation of Quran & Sunnah Education: Overcoming Future Challenges” on October 19-20, 2023, at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Bangi, Malaysia.
This event follows a biennial conference concept related to Quranic and hadith studies and will involve academics from the Centre for Quran and Sunnah Studies, Faculty of Islamic Studies, UKM, as well as local and international researchers and experts. The conference will be conducted in a hybrid format, either in physical or online settings, and will be delivered in three languages: Malay, Arabic, or English.
