Frequently Ask Questions

Restorun

 

1. Can we send two teams for the explorace?

Only one team consisting of five students is allowed to participate per University.

 

2. Do we need to use public transport?

Yes, All participants will be given a RapidKL daily pass. Therefore all participants need to bring

their own TnG/Watsons card/MyKad (Identity Card)

 

3. Can pre-clinical students join?

Yes. As long as there is at least one clinical student per team, as there will be a restoration

competition at the end of the explorace.

 

4. What sort of questions or challenges will be asked?

The tasks will be based on a mixture of Dental Curriculum from all years such as Oral Biology,

Pharmacology, Operative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Oral Pathology, Oral Surgery, Paediatrics,

Orthodontics and Dental Public Health.

 

5. Are the instruments provided during the restoration?

Yes, all basic instruments will be given to each team. By completing the tasks from each station,

the team will get extra items which may help them in the restoration process.

 

6. There will be how many stations for the explorace?

Number and the location of each station will be informed to the participants before the beginning

of the race.

 

7. What are the criteria for judgement based on?

The marks will be given based on the number of tasks completed during the explorace and as

for the restoration criteria, it is based on the general criteria such as anatomy, morphology and

aesthetic.

 

Anatomy Face Competition

 

1. Does it involve both sides of the face?

It can involve both or just one side of the face, depending on the contestants’ own creativity.

 

2. Can we paint different "figures" on each side of the face?

Yes, contestants are allowed to do so.

 

3. Can we bring our own painting materials and tools?

All materials and tools will be provided but participants may bring their own additional tools and

materials.

 

Bicara Ilmu Competition

 

1. Do we need to prepare slides?

No. The format of the talk is similar to Public Speaking (Pidato).

2. What is the minimum duration for the presentation?

 

Each participants will be given 10 minutes to deliver their speech followed by 3 minutes QnA

Session.

 

3. Will there be any VIPs?

No. For the salutation part, participants can greet the audience based on the usual Public

Speaking salutation format.

 

Oral Health Promotion Competition

 

1. Can the content be in English or Bahasa?

Yes, the content can be in English or Malay Language.

 

2. Should we post on our own account or can we use the society's account?

Participants may use their own account or their dental student society account, as long as the

visibility of the post is set as “public”.

 

3. Should the post and video have the same content?

Both the poster and video should follow the theme of “Mulut Sihat, Hidup Ceria”. Content of the

poster and video should relate to each other, but not necessarily the same exact content.

 

4. Is it only one post or can there be multiple posts?

Only one post, for both the poster and video.

 

5. During the event, do we need to present?

No presentation is necessary during the day of the event.

 

6. What will the judgment be based on?

The poster and video will be evaluated based on the design, content and creativity or

uniqueness. The number of likes will also be used as the judgement criteria.
