Abstract submission guidelines

All abstracts will be adjudicated for inclusion in either the oral or poster presentation formats.

Abstracts are 300 words maximum and should follow the format provided below.

Please use 12 point Arial or Times New Roman font.

Abstracts should be submitted in Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) or PDF format.

General outline of abstract should include:

  • Title -clear and concise, maximum 20 words
  • Author(s) names and affiliations
  • Introduction/background
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion
  • Keywords- include 3-5 relevant keywords

Review Process: All abstracts will be peer-reviewed.

Accepted submission deadline by 15 November 2024.

Accepted abstracts will be notified by 30 November 2024.

Presentation Preference: Indicate whether you prefer an oral presentation, poster presentation, but the final decision will be made by the reviewer panel.

Abstract Review for Format Compliance

  • Submitted abstracts have been provisionally accepted as-is.
  • Authors must ensure their abstracts comply with the AIMEC Abstract Template (available for download).

Steps to Review or Resubmit:

  1. Locate the initial submission email.
  2. Click “Edit Response.”
  3. Scroll to “Attachment of Abstract” and re-upload if any updates are made.
  4. Resubmit the form.
  5. If no revisions are needed, no further action is required
