Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thomas Lin Che Wei got his degree from China Medical University in Taichung Taiwan. After navy military service, he went to University of Southern California, USA for his graduate school of hospital administration. He later received full specialty training in emergency medicine in Taipei. After specialty training, he went to WISER and Southern Illinois University to learn simulation education. He has been in the emergency medicine field for over 20 years. He got a Bioinformatic PhD degree from Taipei Medical University. During his service in emergency medicine, he found that simulation is a powerful and efficient tool for education. Therefore he devoted himself to the use of simulation in training medical staff for 12 years. Currently he is the attending physician in Taipei Medical University Shuang Ho Hospital and he is also the director of clinical skill center and the Director of Center for Education in Medical Simulation at Taipei Medical University which is SSH accredited in Teaching and Assessment. He is the Board Member of Pacific Asia Society for Simulation in Healthcare. His other duty is that of President of Taiwan Society of Simulation in Acute and Critical Care Medicine. He also received the SSH fellowship in 2023 and continues to dedicate himself to promoting simulation education.
