AIM

 The AL-QALAM International Journal of Arabic Studies aims to foster intellectual discourse and the exchange of knowledge in the field of Arabic studies. As a peer-reviewed publication, the journal seeks to contribute to the advancement of research on the Arabic language, literature, and culture, providing a platform for both established scholars and emerging researchers. The journal is committed to promoting interdisciplinary approaches, encouraging scholarly work that connects Arabic studies with other fields such as education, history, linguistics, and Islamic civilization.

SCOPE

The journal invites original research articles, reviews, and case studies in a wide range of topics related to Arabic studies, including but not limited to:

  • Arabic Linguistics: The study of the structure, phonetics, phonology, syntax, semantics, and sociolinguistics of the Arabic language.
  • Arabic Literature: Critical analyses and explorations of classical and contemporary Arabic prose, poetry, and drama.
  • Arabic Language Education: Innovative approaches, methodologies, and strategies in teaching and learning Arabic as a second or foreign language.
  • History and Civilization: Research on the historical development of Arabic-speaking regions and the influence of Arabic culture and civilization on the world.
  • Arabic and Islamic Philosophy: Contributions that explore the philosophical, theological, and ethical contributions of Arab scholars and the interplay between Arabic and Islamic thought.


In addition to the core topics, the journal welcomes interdisciplinary studies that intersect Arabic studies with fields such as translation, media, cultural studies, and digital humanities. Contributions may be submitted in Arabic, Malay, or English, reflecting the journal’s commitment to reaching a broad academic audience.
