INTENSIVE MALAY LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY COURSE
INTRODUCTION
The Intensive Malay Language Proficiency Course at ATMA was established as a result of the Consortium of Teaching Indonesian and Malay (COTIM) programmed in 1999. From its humble beginnings of only two students from the United States of America, now more than 300 students from many countries, including Australia, Canada, England, Finland, Germany, France, Japan, Hong Kong, Iran, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, USA and Vietnam have completed the course at different levels. In addition, Konstanz University of Applied Sciences (Germany), La Trobe University (Australia), Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (Japan), Setsunan University (Japan) and Korea Tourism Organization (South Korea) have recognized and acknowledge the teaching of the Malay language course.
Certificate
All students will be given a certificate and a report certifying the level, stage and duration of his or her studies after successfully completing them.
The Course and Duration
There are six levels in the course, beginning with level 1 and ending in level 6 at the advanced stage. The course comprises 100 hours with 80 hours of reading method, speaking and writing skills, and another 20 hours of practical (including workshops, outings and field trips). The teachers are Malay native-speakers who will bring all participants through 4-5 weeks of intensive learning. Each course can also be tailored according to the needs of the students.
Course Fees
The entire course at each level costs RM 1,800 and can begin at any time with a minimum of three (3) students. ATMA also offers an Individual Intensive Course (one-to-one) with RM 5,400.00 (100 hours). This course is offered year-round on demand and according to the student’s request. Payment must be made within the first three days of commencement. Once the course begins, no refund will be entertained. Those interested can register at ATMA.
