PERTH, 14 Mac 2024 – Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) is dedicated to promoting academic excellence and fostering international relations in the ever-evolving landscape of higher education at the Asia-Pacific Association of International Education (APAIE) 2024 in Perth, Australia.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic and International Affairs, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mohammad Kassim presented a scholarly paper showcasing UKM’s expertise and insights on developing sustainable and strategic international partnerships.
“The conference is an excellent opportunity to engage with both existing and potential international partners.
“These fruitful discussions focused on strengthening existing relationships and exploring innovative avenues to form strategic partnerships that could benefit not only the university but also the broader academic community,” he said.
He added that UKM’s participation exemplifies the university’s proactive approach to engaging in global dialogues and shaping the future of education on a worldwide scale.
“UKM’s delegation attendance at the APAIE 2024 is a testament to UKM’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, international collaboration, and the pursuit of knowledge in a globally interconnected world,” he explained.
Also present at the conference were UKM Global Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdul Latiff Ahmad; UKMShape Deputy Director of Academic and Programme Extension, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fariza Khalid and Centre for Corporate Communications Head of Media Relations and Corporate Publications, Mr. Nur Haiqal Rawlins Una Abdullah.
Additionally, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdul Latiff and Mr. Nur Haiqal Rawlins also presented papers highlighting UKM’s commitment to fostering global academic collaborations and enhancing global education through various channels.
The Malaysian delegation, led by by Education Malaysia Global Services, comprises of 14 public and private Malaysia higher education institutions.
