BANGI, 21 November 2023 – Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), through its Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment is set to collaborate with the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA).
The collaboration, which was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on November 30 last year aims to facilitate various academic and research initiatives.
The partnership aims to establish a comprehensive student exchange program and promote faculty and staff exchanges, fostering academic training and joint research initiatives.
Speaking on the collaboration, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic and International Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Kassim expressed enthusiasm about the promising prospects that lie ahead.
Since the sealing of the MoU, both universities have already embarked on collaborative research activities, successfully securing joint-university grant submissions and achieving notable publications.
“Based upon principles of international educational exchange, such as mutual respect and benefit, cooperation, collaboration, and understanding, UKM and NUAA are committed to exploring various collaborative activities,” he said.
He expressed optimism that the collaboration would continue to flourish, bringing tangible benefits to all parties involved.
Additionally, he urged both institutions to collectively strive to explore the world and contribute to humanity’s well-being through collaborative and impactful initiatives.
