BANGI, 18 January 2023 – Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) through the Faculty of Economics and Management and Sohar University in Oman inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster cooperation on various fronts, including research initiatives, academic publications, and educational activities.
The MoU aims to streamline the admission and exchange processes for qualified students between the two institutions, fostering a conducive environment for academic growth.
Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Professor Dr. Aini Aman, expressed her enthusiasm about the collaborative efforts.
“We aspire to facilitate faculty and staff exchanges, encouraging various teaching and research activities, as well as professional development,” she remarked.
She emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise in quality assurance activities, such as external reviews, program validations, and qualification framework development.
Accoeding to her, the partnership seeks to elevate the academic standards of both institutions by sharing best practices and experiences.
“I hope that this collaboration will continue to contribute to the improvement of the qualities of research and academic publications for both universities.
“It is also my hope that this event will result in increased collaboration between academics in a variety of teaching or research activities and professional development; and finally promoting and developing excellence in students from both countries.
“This memorable event aligns perfectly with our goal to expand collaboration between our academic institutions, particularly in research and academic resource exchange,” she concluded.
