Department of Biochemistry is one of the leading research teams in Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). 

The department is well equipped for medical research of international standard and works closely with the clinical counter parts at the HCTM and other preclinical departments, UKM Medical Molecular Biology Institute (UMBI) as well as other local and international universities.

We offer three different courses: Master of Medical Science (MMedSc) by Coursework, Master of Medical Science (MMedSc) by Research, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry. The MMedSc by Research and PhD programs are subjected to the availability of research grants.
