CITRA UKM - Academic Session 2016-2017
Citra Education Structure
Fresh students who have registered starting from Semester 1 of Academic Session 2016–2017 must be aware of and explain:
- 30 credit units of Citra education courses for the purpose of graduation for Professional Program students which involve the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Health, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Economics and Management (Accounting Program);
- 40 credit units of Citra education courses for graduation purposes for students of Non-Professional Programs and Programs that have a Standard Program which involves the Faculty of Islamic Studies, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Science and Technology, the Faculty of Information Technology and Science, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Faculty of Economics and Management (except Accounting Program).
The two (2) components of the “Citra education courses for Professional Programs” are as follows:
- University Compulsory Course – 10 credits
- University Citra Course – 20 credits
The three (3) components of the “Citra education courses for Non-Professional Programs” are as follows:
- University Compulsory Course – 10 credits
- University Citra Course Outside the Faculty – 20 credits
- Equivalent University Citra Course – 10 credits
University Compulsory Courses – The course’s CW standard is offered by CITRA UKM. A student must focus and have 10 credits. The University Compulsory Course is this:
- LMCW1022 – Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (2 credits)
- LMCW2163 – Islamic Civilization and Asian Civilization (3 credits)
- LMCW2173 – Ethnic Relations (3 credits)
- LMCW2922 – Soft Skills (2 credits)
Citra UKM Courses – Course level is C1, C2, C3, C4, C5 & C6. Students need to complete the minimum credit requirements according to the Citra domain as shown in the diagram below:

*Citra 1 and 2 have been given more points as a result of discussions with stakeholders, including the business community, students, parents, NGOs, government agencies, and professional associations. These groups want UKM students to be well-rounded individuals who possess a strong sense of identity and ethics in addition to language skills. The faculty or students individually decide on the remaining Citra Course credit requirements in accordance with Citra UKM.
5.1 University Citra Course Outside the Faculty is University Citra course (Level C1 – C6) that is not offered by the student faculty. Students need to take courses offered either by Pusat Citra (course code LMXX) or other faculties.
5.2 The University Citra course included is an Image course (Level C1-C6) offered by faculty students who have the University Image course level.
