Seminar on Combat on Unregistered Pesticides
The Institute for Environment and Development (LESTARI) in collaboration with The Malaysian CropLife & Public Health Association (MCPA) and Department of Agriculture (DoA) had organised a Seminar on Combat on Unregistered Pesticide on 6th of August 2019 at the Everly Putrajaya Hotel. The seminar was attended by 100 participants from various government agencies and private companies. The objectives of the seminar were to highlight and address the roles of policymakers and implementers on tackling counterfeiting issues in a more efficient and comprehensive manner, and also to discuss possible counteractions of counterfeit and contraband pesticides based on the prevention, preparation and response (PPR) approach. In addition, a general discussion of practices and strategies against unregistered pesticides was moderated by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazlin Mokhtar (Director of LESTARI).
