Workshop on Strengthening Management of Chemical Security Through Its Supply Chain in Malaysia

On 3rd to 5th December 2024, Institute for Environment and Development (LESTARI) through the Chemical Management Research Group (CMRG) had successfully organized a Workshop on Strengthening Management of Chemical Security Through Its Supply Chain in Malaysia at St. Giles The Gardens Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The workshop was co-organized with the National Authority on Chemical Weapon Convention, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and funded by CRDF Global United States, along with the support from UKMPakarunding. The three days workshop focused on strengthening chemical security in Malaysia with presentations from local and international Subject Matter Experts (SME) and focused group discussion in proposing an action plan to strengthen the management of chemical security in Malaysia throughout the chemical’s life cycle. The workshop was attended by thirty-five participants from authorities, private industries, associations, and academia that fully committed and contributed to achieve the objectives of the workshop.
