Antonella Motta is Full Professor at Department of Industrial Engineering (DII) and chair of BIOtech research Center and Biomedical Technologies, University of Trento; visiting professor at National University of Malaysia, Medical School; Associate Director of Bioactive Resources for Innovative Clinical Applications, Research Unit (BRICAR), Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand and member of the European Institute of Excellence in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine.  Her research topics include biopolymer-based scaffold design for regenerative medicine applications, selection of new organism sources, isolation process, instructive scaffold design and characterization, biocompatibility evaluations, implantable devices and matrices for tissue engineering applications. She is also the Editor-in-chief of Journal of Biomaterials Science Polymer Edition, Member of the Scientific Editorial Board of International Journals. Visiting professor and scientific collaborations in several Universities. She has published over 180 papers in International Journals, Co-editor of a book on Tissue engineering, 14 book chapters, and International Patents. She has also been invited to speak at several International and National Conferences and Schools. Professor Antonella is also the Co-Chair of Gordon Research Conference on: Silk proteins and the transition to biotechnologies.
