Gema Amal Insan (GAIn) 12.0 is back again this year, organising their PharmGreen Fiesta program at T1BE hall, UKM KL campus on 15th December 2023. With the tagline “Go Green,” this program was organised to raise awareness and knowledge about protecting the environment. Additionally, it was a fundraising effort, with 70% of the proceeds going toward providing Sekolah Bimbingan Jalinan Kasih with supplies.
The programme started with the first sharing session about Sekolah Bimbingan Jalinan Kasih presented by their senior assistant, Mr. Mohd. Zafrol. Then, Ms. Syafawati, a representative from the CRC box, continued her second sharing session on Recycle for Charity. An engaging quiz was conducted, followed by an appreciation ceremony for the VIPs.
The event was a fun-filled experience with various booths from Sekolah Bimbingan Kasih, Green Lung Club, JATI, art exhibitions, soap-making, and interactive games inside T1BE hall. Students were queuing up to purchase meals, beverages, and desserts from food stalls located in the T1BE hall lobby. Singing and the strumming of the guitars filled the hall as the PharmaBand was busking. Those who had spent RM10 and above were qualified to participate in a lucky draw, and five winners were selected.
The GAIn director gave a speech to close the programme, and the winners of the sculpting competition were announced based on the VIPs’ scores and the students’ votes. These art sculptures were a part of the art exhibition displayed in the hall throughout the event. With that, the event comes to an end.
