Hari Terbuka Fakulti Farmasi 2022 is held annually by the Faculty of Pharmacy for students to learn more about Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) through the introduction of academic and curriculum programmes. The event was held on Saturday, 26 February 2022, from 11.30am to 1pm via the application ‘WebEX’ and Facebook live operating simultaneously.
The event started with a doa recitation by Sir Amirul Faiz followed by an opening speech by Associate Prof. Dr. Mohd Bin Makmor Bakry where he informed the students that the knowledge of pharmacy is a wide spectrum. Then, Dr. Hanisah Binti Azhari presented on the career of pharmacy after graduation. For instance, pharmacists can be involved in hospitals, retail pharmacies and industries.
Next, there was a briefing on Bachelor of Pharmacy which was conducted by Associate Prof. Dr. Ernieda Binti Md Hatah in the main meeting room. Students who wished to join the briefing on Bachelor of Clinical Pharmacy, Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Analysis and Master of Philosophy were requested to join the breakout rooms. After the briefing, I was so proud to be a student in UKM as UKM was ranked 144 in QS World University Rankings 2022.
The event continued with a Q&A session to allow students to voice out any enquiries. Then, a few videos on the introduction of UKM were played. The programme went smoothly and ended with a photography session capturing the bright smiles of the participants. In short, this programme was indeed beneficial for students to get to know more about UKM and the Faculty of Pharmacy.
