On 28th September 2017, all students of Faculty of Pharmacy gathered at TIBE, UKM KL to attend the pledging ceremony. Associate Professor Dr Jamia Azdina Jamal, the Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia delivered those inspiring words in her welcoming speech to us. Under the theme of “Integrasi inspirasi kejayaan”, she emphasized on the importance of integrity in many aspects of our lifes in order to embrace success. The short yet inspiring speech by her, gave a boost of motivations in students. The event had becoming more meaningful with attendance of Y.Bhg Dato’ Eisah A.Rahman, Lembaga Pengarah Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, to congratulate the new students and officiate this pledging ceremony session 2017/2018.
Later, it was time for the representatives from the first year students to come up on stage and lead the pledging. This was then followed by the submission of white coat from the fourth year students to the chosen representatives. To award the students for their academic excellence in last semester, the guests become the witness of their achievements during the Dean’s list award ceremony. It was great to see how the new students were inspired by their seniors’ achievements and try following their footsteps. We hope this ceremony marked the fresh start for the students especially for the first year. We know you can do it!
