“Santai Bersama, Jalin Kemesraan”
On 4th November 2017, participants of Piala Dekan gathered at the field of Kolej Tun Syed Nasir at 7.30 am for registration. After they were given their breakfast, the event began with a fun session of aerobics.
Around 8.30 am, the matches finally started. The matches that were competed were 100 metres run, badminton, female volleyball, Frisbee, netball and futsal. Passion and excellent teamwork shown by all the teams made the matches really interesting to watch. Ultimately, the 1st year participants won the badminton female double, while 100 metres female and futsal male matches were won by the 2nd year participants. Also, volleyball female and netball matches were won by 3rd year participants. Finally, the 4th year participants managed to win 100 metres male, Frisbee female, futsal female and badminton single female. The crowd was impressed to see that the staff and alumni won both the badminton single and double matches in the male category. Interestingly, the Frisbee male was won by a team consisting of 2nd, 3rd and 4th years participants!
However, due to an unfortunate sudden downfall of rain, an incomplete match- volleyball male match was postponed. Around noon, the rain stopped and the session was continued with an intense battle of tug of war. Afterwards, Piala Dekan finally ended. The overall winner was the 4th year’s!
Piala Dekan had succeeded in exposing students to join sport events and improve their synchronizing skills among teammates. Everyone had an enjoyable time to be with each other!
