In the grand halls of DECTAR, Dewan Canselor Tun Abdul Razak, a day unfolded that whispered tales of resilience, dedication, and triumph. It was the 51st Convocation Ceremony of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia which marked on 25th November 2023, a day when graduates from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, and UMBI transformed into a sea of gowns, ascending the stage to claim the scrolls that bore witness to years of relentless study and countless nights of dedication. This special day was more than just a ceremony; it was a celebration of every drop of sweat, every late-night struggle, and every tear shed on the journey to this milestone.
The ceremony began with the entrance of students and Vice-Chancellor of UKM into the hall followed by a prayer recitation, and the singing of the national and university anthems. Then, the Vice-Chancellor of UKM, Ybhg. Prof. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Mohd Ekhwan Haji Toriman gave his opening speech to welcome and congratulate all graduates from each faculty.
From the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honors) Faculty Pharmacy UKM, few stars shone brightly, Shin Hui Xin was adorned with the Pingat Emas Universiti. Lai Yue Jiun received the Hadiah Buku Universiti, while Nurul Ainaa Amirah Binti Amiruddin and Eileen Cheah E-Theng were honored with the Hadiah Pharmaniaga. Amirah Binti Abdul Rahman clinched the Anugerah Ibnu Sina.
As the curtains gracefully descended on this monumental celebration, Professor Datuk Dr. Mohammad Hussin, the vice president of the alumni council, stepped forward to give a speech. Then, followed by a closing prayer to seal the chapter.
