GRA Opportunity in Stroke Research (Dr Kaisan)

We are looking for ONE POTENTIAL FULL TIME MSc Student with strong interest in stroke research to conduct a project entitled: “Elucidation on the functional role of microRNA-21 as immunomodulatory key switch in vagal preconditioning against cerebral ischemic reperfusion injury”.

The project will apply PCR, cell culture techniques, animal surgery, and immunological assays that include western blot, ELISA and immunohistochemistry.

Selection criteria/Requirements:

1. Open to all.
2. A bachelor degree in Pharmacy/Biotechnology/Biomedical/microbiology or in related field.
3. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
4. Hardworking, proactive, and willing to learn new skills.
5. A monthly stipend will be provided.
6. Opportunity to convert research project to PhD.
7. Application deadline until the post is filled.
8. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for IV.
