Faculty of Medicine UKM through the Department of Physiology established a research collaboration with Glyness Industries Sdn Bhd in a project titled ‘The Effects of Immobilized Papain Treatment on Antioxidant Properties of Edible Bird’s Nest (EBN)’. This study will produce a more effective EBN extraction method to increase the anti-oxidant effect of EBN.

Also present at this ceremony was Professor Dr. Mohamad Nasir Shafiee, Deputy Dean of Research & Innovation; Professor Dr. Norazlina Mohamed, Assistant Dean of Quality & Strategy; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ruslinda Mustafar, Assistant Dean of Clinical Services; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Helmy Mokhtar, Assistant Dean of Entrepreneurship & Creativity; Assoc. Prof. Dr Azizah Ugusman, Head of Physiology Department; and Dr. Adila A. Hamid as Principal Researcher. The lecturers and staff of the Department of Physiology also enlivened this event. Meanwhile from the Glyness Industries are Mr. Henry Tan Chin Soon, Executive Director of Gyness Industries Sdn. Bhd as well as several other staff also enlivened this event.
