CONGRATULATION: DR FARAH FAUZI WON 2ND RUNNER UP AT FAMELAB 2019

Dr. Nor Farah Fauzi, lecturer of the Physiotherapy Program of the Faculty of Health Sciences has won the 3rd place in the FameLab 2019 competition.

Her 3 minute pitching is about “myokines”, a cytokine group secreted by skeletal muscle tissue, resulting from muscle contraction reactions when we are actively engaged. Myokines are associated with various positive effects on the body and play an important role in exercise.

FameLab is a science communication competition in science, technology, engineering, and math field within three minutes. FameLab with the Malaysian Government for High Technology (MIGHT) Group, British Council Malaysia and supported by the Ministry of Education and EURAXESS Asean and is now in its fifth time.
