About Us
Optometry Clinics offers clinical services related to the field of optometry such as Primary Eye Care, Contact Lenses, Low Vision, Binocular Vision, Paediatrics, Electrophysiology and Prosthetics. The Optometry Clinic also offers a comprehensive eye examination equipped with advanced equipment such as OCT, Corneal Topography and Fundus Camera. In addition, the Optometry Clinic provides the sale of vision aids at reasonable prices.
The Optometry Clinic is also a clinical training place for undergraduate students to undergo clinical and practical training. The Optometry Clinic is also a reference centre for special cases in the field of contact lenses such as Keratoconus and Orthokeratology and gets referrals from other clinics such as Occupational Therapy and Health Psychology Clinics. Apart from the location in Jalan Raja Muda Abd. Aziz, Mobile Optometry Clinic (KOB) services are also offered to conduct comprehensive eye services outside clinics which uses the concept of “outreach to the community” because it provides services in rural and urban areas throughout Malaysia.
In addition, Low Vision services are also offered at SM Setapak (Special Education), which operates once a week during lecture sessions by providing eye examinations for students who have limited vision and need the help of visual aids such as telescopes and magnifying glasses.

The Success of Optometry Clinics

Clinical Optometry is one of the clinics of optometry in Malaysia that offers all clinical services related to the field of optometry under one roof by relevant experts as Experts Contact Lens, Low Vision, Ortoptis, Expert Vision Children, Electrophysiology and Prosthetics. Our clinic also offers comprehensive eye examinations and the sale of vision aids at reasonable prices but services that are comparable to the services offered in public and private hospitals.

The Optometry Clinic is also a clinical training place for year 3 and 4 optometry students to carry out clinical training and clinical practice. In addition, the Optometry Clinic is also a reference point for special cases in the field of contact lenses such as Keratoconus and Orthocatology. In addition, the Optometry Clinic also conducts inter-disciplinary services with other health science clinics such as Occupational Therapy Clinics and Health Psychology Clinics

Apart from the location of the Optometry Clinic in Jalan Raja Muda Abd. Aziz, Mobile Optometry Clinic (KOB) is also a bus equipped with complete optometric clinical equipment that can offer comprehensive eye examination services outside the clinic. This bus is one of the earliest services in Malaysia that uses the concept of "outreach to the community" because it will offer services in rural areas and housing. To date, KOB services have traveled all over Malaysia to offer optometry services namely Kedah, Perak, Pahang and even to East Malaysia namely Sabah and Sarawak namely Sibu and Kapit under the Health for Malaysia Program in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine. UKM.

Not only offering services within the Kuala Lumpur Campus area, the Low Vision Clinic service is also had offered at SM Pendidikan Setas Special Education every Thursday during lecture sessions by offering eye examinations for students with visual impairment and need low vision aid such as telescopes, magnifying glasses and CCTV.

Optometry Clinics also welcome external optometric clinical attachments whether from certified optometrists or private university students who wish to see special cases or attachments with experts related to the field of optometry among academics in the Optometry and Vision Sciences Program most of whom have experienced more than 15 years in the field ventured into such as Contact Lenses, Limited Vision, Binocular Vision, Children, Electrophysiology and Prosthetics.
