Alhamdulillah on 30th May 2024, Seminar on Scholars of Islamic Civilization, with the theme of “The Contribution of Muslim Scholars on the Development of Sciences and its Contemporary Relevance” has been successfully held via physical and online platforms.

The delegation from Institute of Islam Hadhari UKM had a chance to attend the seminar physically at Tashkent Uzbekistan. This delegation lead by Director and Deputy Director of Institute of Islam Hadhari UKM, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Fariza Md Sham FASc and Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Nazrul Anuar Nayan respectively, followed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adawiyah Ismail, Ts. Dr. Farah Ayuni Mohd Hatta, Dr. Norshariani Abdul Rahman, Mr. Mohammad Ikhwan Ismail, Pn Noor Hayati Ahmad Rasol. In addition to that, a few students from our institute were able to participate physically in this seminar as well in Tashkent.

The seminar was officiated by Mr Minovarov, Director of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan followed by Prof Dato’ Dr. Fariza Md Sham FASc, Director of Institute of Islam Hadhari UKM and Dr. Uygun Gafurov, Rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan.

The seminar this year is the 4th one held by the organising committee, and altogether there are 26 presenters and 7 of them presented their presentations online. We also would love to thank all colleagues from Uzbekistan especially Mr Islamuddin, his team and students for assisting us in accommodation and transportation during this whole trip.

We are looking forward to organize this seminar next year in Malaysia and would love all fellow participants from Uzbekistan to visit and present them physically.
