SIGNING OF THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) BETWEEN UKM AND TECHNOFRESH AGRO PRODUCE SDN BHD AT MAHA 2024

Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Techno Fresh Agro Produce Sdn Bhd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 12th September 2024, with the aim of advancing sustainable agriculture in Malaysia. The signing ceremony took place during the Malaysian Agriculture, Horticulture & Agro-tourism Show (MAHA 2024) and was witnessed by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Datuk Seri Haji Mohamad bin Sabu.

This MoU marks an important step towards strengthening research and innovation in the agricultural sector. UKM, represented by Prof. ChM Dr. Ishak Ahmad, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, and Techno Fresh Agro Produce Sdn Bhd, represented by its Director, Mr. Tee Liang Kwok, are committed to addressing modern agricultural challenges through innovative solutions.

The collaboration will be led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Che Radziah Che Mohd Zain, who is also the CEO of Pertanian Bersih Sdn Bhd, a spin-off company under UKM. Through this initiative, both parties aim to boost economic growth, promote social responsibility, and protect the environment in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This event marks another success for UKM in expanding its influence in sustainable agriculture, and MAHA 2024 serves as an ideal platform to showcase the latest innovations in Malaysia’s agricultural industry.
