Pusat Inovasi dan Pemindahan Teknologi (INOVASI@UKM) extends our heartfelt congratulations to KL Orthosports Sdn Bhd, a PEMULA@UKM startup founded by YBrs. Associate Professor Dato’ Dr. Badrul Akmal Hisham Bin Md. Yusoff from the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), for successfully securing the Inclusive Small and Medium Enterprise Ecosystem Program (i-SEE) Grant worth RM171,200.00 from SME Corp Malaysia.
KL Orthosports Sdn Bhd is a biotechnology startup at the forefront of orthopedic innovation, driven by advanced clinical research. The company has developed the Modified UKM Internal Brace (MUIB), a more durable knee ligament graft, along with mesenchymal stem cell therapy aimed at restoring knee and shoulder joint function.
This achievement reflects INOVASI@UKM’s continuous efforts to empower startups under the PEMULA@UKM program, while also recognizing the dedication and groundbreaking innovations that contribute to strengthening the medical and healthcare industry. More importantly, this advancement will benefit patients, particularly those from the B40 income group.
