FMT, najis, maqasid syariah, maslahah, menjaga nyawa.

The development of knowledge and technology today has led physicians to a new method of treating intestinal diseases, namely Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT). FMT from a medical aspect is to donate human faeces that contain healthy microbiota for use in the treatment of intestinal diseases. This treatment aims to restore the disturbed intestinal microbiota and correct its imbalance by forming a stable and complex microbiota. However, this also raises questions in Islamic law about the necessity of using this treatment as this treatment uses human faeces, and the nature of the faeces does not change. Therefore, this article will discuss the use of FMT treatment according to the framework of maqasid shariah. The method used in this study is document analysis based on reference materials such as books and journals related to this topic. The data obtained will be analyzed thematically using an inductive approach to determine the FMT method’s law to treat diseases. The result obtained from this study is that the treatment of FMT is in line with the maqasid shariah, especially in achieving the maslahah of maintaining life.
