Abstract
This paper analyses the influence of religion, children and education level on the married women’s probability of work in Kedah. The analyses found that the religion (being Muslim or Non-Muslim) does not influence the married women s probability of work. The previous study that found the Israel Muslim married women having lower probability of work may due to the religious factor has been captured the effect of religious discrimination on labour market, and the community perception on married working women. Number of children below the age of 6 year is found having significant negative influence. The education level is found not significant. Nevertheless, through interaction with previous working experience, the education level gives positive and significant impact on the probability of work.
