BEM-Graduate Assessment Program (BEM-GAP) in Civil Engineering

The Faculty of Engineering & Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia offers a BEM-Graduate Assessment Program (BEM-GAP) in Civil Engineering for non-accredited Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) programmes. The programme is run by the Department of Civil Engineering and is approved by the University Senate.

The programme can be used as a pathway for the following purposes:

1) Registration as a Graduate Engineer

• Local 3-Year Bachelor of Engineering degree accredited by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA)
• First cycle (Bachelor degrees) listed in the FEANI database (European Engineering Education Database – EEED) with the EUR-ACE label
• 3-year Bachelor of Engineering accredited by the Engineering Council, UK (requires further study to apply for CEng)

2) Change of Registered Engineering Branch (Graduate Engineer)

• Change of branch for registered Graduate Engineer (sub-branch to main branch)

Mode

The programme will be conducted on weekdays and mode of conduct (physical/hybrid) depends on the lecturer.
