About my research
My research is mainly in plant microbe interactions, plant molecular biology, disease resistance and study of phytopathogens. I apply molecular and omics technologies to conduct my research which is mostly directed toward commercial crops such as rice
About my research
Dr. Nik Norhazrina binti Nik Mohd Kamil is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She is also an Advisor to the Kelab Rakan Taman UKM and a Research Fellow at the Bukit Fraser Research Center. She is a professional member of the International Association of Bryologists, the Malaysian Society of Applied Biology and the Malaysian Nature Society. She obtained her Bachelor of Science with Honours (Biology) in 2008 and Master of Science (Botany) in 2011 at UKM. She was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (Sciences) from the University of Liège, Belgium in 2016. She teaches biology and botanical science courses. Her research focuses on floristic, taxonomy, systematics, molecular and ecological of tropical bryophytes.
