Jabatan Pengurusan Fakulti Pengurusan Perniagaan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia 43600 UKM Bangi Selangor D.E.

Abstract

This study examines the relationships between organisational and work related variables and employees’ intention to leave an organisation. Forty-six usable questionnaires were received aut of 140 sent out to randomly selected bank managers throughout Malaysia. The results of the multiple regression analyses indicated that satisfaction with pay and other monetary benefits, satisfaction with the employee-supervisor relationships, external job opportunities, and instrumental communication are significantly related with the intention-to leave among the bank managers who participated in the study. These indicator variables contributed about 48% of the variance explained in the intention-to leave reported by the respondents.
