Abstract
This research explores the practice of Just-In-Time production concept in a major manufacturing company in Malaysia and her local parts suppliers. It’ is found that a modified form of the concept is being practised to suit indivi dual company’s operations. The suppliers are able to meet the stringent JIT requirements of the manufacturing company. However, relationships between the manufacturing company and her suppliers, though supportive of JIT, need to be improved through better contractual agreements. The suppliers opi nions on the applicabillity of the JIT production concept in manufacturing in Malaysia are also discussed.
