Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia
Abstract
This study identifies shopping center attributes and to see whether there is any sign of race polarisation in any shopping center influencing customers in their preferences for the center. The data was collected from seven shopping centers in Kuala Lumpur through personal interviews by groups of students from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. The findings indicate that attributes which generally can influence shopping center preferences do not exist in Malaysian environment. However, the polarization of races do exist in certain shopping centers.
