Synopsis
The course aims to provide knowledge,
understanding and ability for students
to analyze problems using the finite element method. This course covers topics such as fundamental theory in finite element methods, variational methods, 1, 2 and 3 dimensional
problems, linear and non-linear concepts, method
of solution, mesh and adaptive mesh, error estimations, analysis and error estimation,
fundamental of finite volume
methods, problems of diffusion, advection-difusion and transient, basic theory of finite boundary methods,
Laplace, Poisson, and wave equations. Introduction to discrete element method, meshless, x-FEM, molecular dynamics, artificial intelligent and the latest technology in space, time and multiscale
computational methods. This
course combines theory and
practice of computational engineering method for solving engineering problems. At the
end of the course, a project will be
given to students using to
solve using some software. |
