Lecture
Laboratory |
Tuesday Thursday TBA |
11am – 12pm 2pm – 4pm |
DK6 DK2 MM Lab |
At the end of this
course, students will be; ·
Able to identify, understand and apply the
concepts of stress and strain to engineering structures ·
Able to apply the basic principles of
mechanics of materials and mathematic to translate engineering problems to
free body diagrams ·
Able to interpret, analyse and evaluate type of loads that exist in
any components or engineering system and draw conclusions from the
calculation results ·
Able to collect and analyse data of laboratory
test, and associate with engineering problems ·
Able to write a good technical report and demonstrate good communication
skill through oral presentation of integrated project which combined
multi-disciplinary courses to solve engineering problems ·
Able
to work in a team through an integrated
project Advice One hour lecture students should
make themselves reading a minimum of 2 hours. Total hours should be increased
for students who are weak or have low grades, especially below 2.5. If you are taking 15 units, the
total learning including lectures is at least 40 hours. This means that if you
study 5 days a week, your own time is at least 5 hours. If 6 days at least 4
hours and 7 days for at least 3 hours and 30 min. Iy you follow this advice, I
believe students will not have a problem with understanding the contents, relate
with the applications, not enough exercises, can not make any programming. Method of learning: PBL &
