QS Higher Ed Pre-Summit: Asia Pacific 2024

Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) participated in the QS Higher Ed Pre-Summit: Asia Pacific 2024, held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU), Kazakhstan on November 1, 2024. This summit brought together representatives from leading universities across Asia to discuss developments in higher education and international collaboration.

UKM was represented by a delegation from the UKM Strategy Centre, led by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Roslee Rajikan, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Strategy and Nationalism). During the summit, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Roslee was invited as a speaker for the session titled “The Power of International Collaboration”, where he emphasized the importance of global partnerships in strengthening higher education systems.

Additionally, UKM had the opportunity to engage in direct discussions with KazNU Rector, Prof. Janseit Tuymebaev. As a result of the meeting, both parties agreed to further strengthen strategic cooperation through academic staff and student exchange programs, as well as academic mobility initiatives. UKM is also committed to expanding cooperation in various academic fields, research, and mobility for mutual benefit in advancing higher education.

UKM’s participation in this summit reflects its commitment to strengthening its position on the global higher education stage.
