MoU between UKM and SEDA

The Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI), The National University of Malaysia (UKM) has collaborated with the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement several activities related to renewable energy sustainability.

The exchange of MoU documents was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) today, involving Pro Vice-Chancellor for Strategy and Governance, Prof Dato’ Dr Roslee Rajikan, who represented UKM, while SEDA Malaysia was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Dr Hamzah Hussin. The exchange of documents was witnessed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, Dato’ Sri Hj Fadillah Hj Yusof.

The MoU exchange ceremony was held in conjunction with the 6th International Sustainable Energy Conference (ISES) which was held for two days starting today.

The collaboration between UKM and SEDA Malaysia is to carry out joint studies, human capital development, consultancy services and expertise sharing, joint publications and policy studies. Through this collaboration, SERI will also realize the recruitment of students through the APEL channel. Q for research programs.

Also present were the Director of SERI, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Adib Ibrahim and the Deputy Director of SERI, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norasikin Ahmad Ludin, who is also the project leader for this collaboration.
