UKM Makes Strides in THE Impact Rankings 2024

Congratulations to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) for its impressive rise in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2024! UKM jumped to the 201-300 band, a significant improvement from the 401-600 position in 2023.

THE Impact ranking evaluates universities’ commitment to the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through research, outreach, education, and operations.

UKM excelled in six SDGs, securing spots among the world’s top 100: Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3, #27), Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6, #46), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12, #55), Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7, #62), Life Below Water (SDG 14, #77), and No Poverty (SDG 1, #97). Additionally, eight SDGs ranked between 101-200, four between 201-300, and one between 401-600.

This achievement reflects UKM’s unwavering dedication to sustainability initiatives on campus. It also highlights the invaluable support from the entire university community in fostering a culture of excellence, environmental responsibility, and ethical conduct.
