Master of Social Science (Corruption Studies) Program UKM-SPRM
UKM collaborates with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Academy, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), to offer the Master of Social Science (Corruption Studies) Program.
❖ Course Objectives
This program aims to provide value-added knowledge and advanced academic training to MACC officers and enforcement agency officers, both local and international, to enhance their professionalism.
The program produces graduates who are attuned to the latest developments in design, approaches, and technologies in corruption activities and management at the international level.
The program enhances the capabilities of MACC officers and related agency officers by equipping them with up-to-date career knowledge, heightened awareness of current developments, and a broad and deep perspective, preparing them as future leaders in the MACC and high-level enforcement agencies.

Involvement Expert in Policy and Lawmakers
- Dr. Rospidah Ghazali
Dr. Rospidah Ghazali, as Head of the Center for Environmental, Economic, and Social Sustainability Research at the Institute for Environment and Development (LESTARI), UKM, has been instrumental in shaping policies within the Working Committee for the National Food Security Blueprint (KBSMN) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security. Leveraging her expertise in developmental economics, agriculture, and food security, she has contributed significantly to drafting strategies and action plans to fortify the nation’s food security framework.
In her role as a policymaker, Dr. Rospidah actively participated in the 2023 Budget Focus Group Session on Food Security and Inclusive Rural Development with the Ministry of Finance, where critical issues such as community-based agricultural development, the productive use of idle land, and enhancing food supply chain management through automation and technology were addressed.

- Gs. Dr. Nuriah Abd Majid
Gs. Dr. Nuriah Abd Majid, a research fellow at the Institute for Environment and Development (LESTARI), UKM, has played a crucial role in shaping policies for sustainable forest management in Malaysia. As part of her involvement with the Department of Forestry Peninsular Malaysia, she participated in a meeting with consultants on a study assessing the costs of forest production within Permanent Forest Reserves in Peninsular Malaysia. Her contributions, grounded in her expertise in Geographic Information Science, Geo-disasters, and Urban Geography, reflect her influence in formulating policies that promote responsible forest management. Additionally, her role as a member of the National Geoinformation/Geoinformatics Research Technical Committee further emphasizes her commitment and influence as a policymaker in environmental sustainability and geospatial governance in Malaysia.
