UKM Sustainability Policy 2030

UKM has published the UKM Sustainability Policy and the UKM 2030 Sustainability Strategic Plan. In this plan, UKM has a sustainability policy regarding UKM’s commitment to 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In continuation with that, UKM has developed the UKM 2030 Sustainability Strategic Plan as a guideline for action plans and initiatives to achieve sustainable development goals. UKM is committed to achieving the goals under SDG 13, UKM is committed to realizing the Zero Carbon Campus 2050 through efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, adaptation strategies, and climate research for a sustainable university future. In page 87, UKM has outlined an action plan towards a low carbon campus such as empowering waste management on campus, using low carbon energy appliances, diversifying alternative water sources, increasing the use of zero emission vehicles and increasing awareness campaigns on the importance of protecting the environment.
