National Agrofood Policy 2021-2030

UKM has a policy to ensure that food on campus that comes from aquatic ecosystems is sustainably harvested. UKM has aligned its food sourcing practices with the National Agrofood Policy 2021-2030. This alignment ensures that food on campus, particularly from aquatic ecosystems, is sustainably harvested. The National Agrofood Policy emphasises sustainability, resilience, and the use of technology in food production, and UKM fully supports these principles. By adopting practices outlined in the policy, UKM contributes to responsible consumption, food security, and the preservation of marine biodiversity. This commitment reflects UKM’s role in promoting sustainable resource management within its operations and supporting national efforts toward a sustainable agrofood sector.
