Prof Dr Mohd Fairuz Ali is a Senior Lecturer & Family Medicine Consultant at the Department of Family Medicine, UKM Medical Centre. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the The University of Western Australia and pursued his Clinical Speciality in Doctor (Fam Med) from The National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2011.

He has sub-specialty interest in Post Stroke Long Term Care and Dementia treatment in the primary care level. He has experience and training in these field from local and Australian institutions. Currently he is a Clinical Fellow in Community Stroke Care, consultant in the Long Term Stroke Clinic in Klinik Primer PPUKM and also an advisor for the post stroke patients support group.  Dr Fairuz Ali also gives lectures, conduct research and organise education programs on the awareness of dementia to university students and the public. 

Currently he holds the position of Program Director for the Postgrad Doctor of Family Medicine specialist training program. Outside of his academic work, Dr Fairuz is active in NGO activities where he is the executive committee heading the development of Orang Asli community for the Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) a humanitarian organisation which provides aids to marginalised communities, those affecting by war and natural disasters locally and abroad.
