Surfing the Waves of Southeast Asian History with the Andayas Symposium, 28 September 2024
On September 28th, 2024, KITA Founding Director Distinguished Prof. Datuk Dr. Shamsul Amri Baharuddin presented his views as a panel speaker in the first session of the ‘Surfing the Waves of Southeast Asian History with the Andayas’ Symposium that took place at the Asian Civilizations Museum (ACM) in Singapore. The program was organized by the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in collaboration with ACM and the National University of Singapore (NUS), as part of a program celebrating the careers and great contributions of two prominent scholars, Profs. Leonard and Barbara Andaya who recently retired from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa after more than 30 years of being active in the field of Southeast Asian History.
