In 2008, Kolej Ibu Zain was designated as a center for international student activities and rebranded as the Ibu Zain International Student House (IZISH). However, in 2013, the college reverted to its original name, Kolej Ibu Zain, allowing other residential colleges within UKM to also host international students in line with the university’s internationalization efforts.
In 2017, Kolej Ibu Zain was upgraded to a premier college, further strengthening its role in student development and providing high-quality facilities and opportunities for both local and international students.
Kolej Ibu Zain continues to uphold its legacy by fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and dynamic environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and personally.
