ASEAN Palm Oil Student Association (APOSA) Forum 2024

The MPOB-UKM Endowment Chair, Faculty of Economics and Management, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia successfully co-organized the APOSA Forum 2024 in collaboration with the main organizer, INSTIPER, and co-organizers CPOPC and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). This forum is a collaborative platform that engages students from ASEAN member countries to share knowledge, experiences, and positive ideas related to the palm oil industry. Furthermore, it is dedicated to promoting a balanced and holistic understanding of palm oil among the younger generation, as well as identifying innovative initiatives and solutions that support the sustainability of the industry.
At APOSA forum, Associate Professor Dr. Lokhman Hakim Osman, the cluster head of MPOB-UKM Endowment Chair has spoken on the topic of Empowerment and the Role of the Young Generation in Oil Palm in the Future. The forum was attended by various international institutions including ISPO, RSPO, CPOPC, MSPO, UPM, WWF, WALHI, European Society, BPDP-KS, CIRAD, and students.
The CPOPC’s Secretary General, Dr. Rizal Affandi Lukman has announced that the next APOSA 2025 will be held at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and the hand over has been undertaken by Associate Professor Dr. Norlin Khalid, MPOB-UKM Endowment Chair to be the organizer for APOSA 2025. We hope this forum will be the starting point for future collaboration between government agencies, universities, ministries, and countries to develop beneficial strategies that can positively impact Malaysia's economic development.
