Development of Mini Estate Models for Smallholders in Malaysia Towards Increased Productivity

The objective of this programme was to assess and analyze the relationship between the mechanization of palm oil management in plantations and the profiles of small private oil palm farmers (PKP) based on their existing use of mechanization. It also aimed to identify the impact of mechanization and related factors of PKP on palm oil production. The objective also included the study to determine the optimum level of land use for mini estate development in Kuala Bera, Pahang through a regression approach. Accordingly, several programmes will be conducted in collaboration with MPOB for the purpose of data collection from PKP.
