Sustainable Campus Convention 2015

Institute for Environment and Development (LESTARI), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in collaboration with Kolej Ibu Zain, UKM and supported by other institutions such as Ministry of Energy, Water and Green Technology (KETTHA), EcoKnights, Kuala Lumpur Malay Chamber of Commerce (KLMCC), Kelab Ekorelawan UKM, Kumpulan Penyelidikan Pengurusan Ekosistem Lestari UKM & Kelompok Penyelidikan Kampus Lestari UKM has successfully organised the Sustainable Campus Convention (Konvensyen Kampus Lestari) 2015 on 30 April 2015 at Dewan Persidangan Faculty of Science and Technology, UKM. About 160 participants has attended this convention from 14 Universities in Malaysia. This convention has officiated by Prof Dato Dr. Mazlin bin Mokhtar, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Research and Innovation, UKM followed by two keynotes which were delivered by Marilyn Mehlmann from Global Action Plan (GAP) Stockholm, Sweden which was presenting her keynote speech on Learning for Change for Sustainable Campus to inspire all participants. Another keynote has delivered by Dato Shaharuddin Mohamad Ismail from LESTARI, UKM on EcoVolunteer as Driving Force of UKM Sustainable Campus. During this event, sustainable campus exhibitions, poster competition and oral presentation competition were also conducted and Kolej Ibu Zain of UKM has won the best oral presentation which has shown selected green initiatives that has initiated in partnership between Kolej Ibu Zain and LESTARI, UKM.
